More Than Karate.
We're Building A Better Community.
Meet the family behind Concord Karate Studio — dedicated instructors, lifelong martial artists, and passionate educators committed to helping every student become their best self.
Built on Passion, Purpose & Family.
Concord Karate Studio was opened in April 2024 by Sia and Jason Cote with a clear mission—to help students of all ages become the best version of themselves through the practice of Ed Parker's American Kenpo Karate and the Progressive Kenpo System.
What started as a dream rooted in more than a decade of martial arts training became a reality in the heart of Concord, New Hampshire. The studio is built on the belief that karate is more than self-defense — it's a vehicle for self-improvement, community, and lifelong learning.
Today, CKS serves students of all ages from Concord and surrounding communities including Bow, Chichester, Pembroke, and Penacook — welcoming everyone from curious 3-year-olds to adults looking for a meaningful new challenge.
"Our primary goal for all of our students is to succeed in any endeavor — constant and never-ending improvement."
The Five Values of a Black Belt.
True skill speaks for itself. We cultivate humility in every student, understanding that there is always more to learn.
Doing the right thing — on and off the mat. We hold ourselves to a high standard in all aspects of life.
Progress takes time and effort. We encourage every student to push through challenges and never give up.
Knowing when — and when not — to act is one of the most important skills a martial artist can develop.
The unbreakable will to keep going. We instill a spirit that can face any challenge life throws its way.
Ed Parker's dream was a worldwide Kenpo community that looks out for each other. That spirit lives here at CKS.
Progressive Kenpo System.
Concord Karate Studio teaches Ed Parker's American Kenpo karate, following the teachings of Ed Parker — widely known as the father of American Kenpo Karate.
Mr. Parker developed a system built on principles rather than rigid sequences. Grounded in situational awareness, natural geometry, and the Universal Pattern, PKS teaches students to adapt their skills to any situation they may face.
Mr. Parker's dream was for a worldwide Kenpo community that looks out for each other. Practitioners stay one step ahead and focus on the principles of black belt: modesty, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit.
The Cote Family.
Sia is the heart of Concord Karate Studio. A 4th degree black belt with 16 years of Kenpo training, she brings a rare combination of martial arts expertise and educational excellence to every class she teaches.
Jason combines martial arts experience, technology leadership, and decades of youth mentorship to help guide the growth of Concord Karate Studio.
Ana has grown up in the dojo and it shows. A 3rd degree black belt with 14 years of training, she has a gift for connecting with students of all ages and making every class something to look forward to.
